Race for Our Kids:
Join us for the eighth annual Race for Our Kids presented by Sinai Hospital Auxiliary on Sunday, September 23, 2012. The race features 5K and 10K courses as well as a 1 Mile Family Fun Walk and has something for everyone - from the elite runner to the novice weekend warrior. Amenities include cash prizes (10K only), a long sleeved technical shirt and a post-race party sponsored by The Classic Catering People. All proceeds benefit pediatric oncology at the new Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai.
5K/10K
The 5K and 10K courses offer rolling hills and beautiful scenery throughout the Mt. Washington neighborhood. You can run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) course and it is a great distance for those looking for more than the 1 mile walk distance. The 10K (6.2 miles) is more challenging and features $4,100 in cash prizes. Please note, no strollers or dogs will be permitted on the 5K or 10K race routes for the safety of all participants.
1 Mile Family Walk
The 1 Mile Family Walk travels around the Sinai Hospital campus and is great for families with children or those who want to participate in the race without completing the 5K or 10K. The Sinai Hospital Auxiliary hosts an interactive, themed walk with lots of fun surprises! Strollers are permitted on the 1 Mile Family Walk route. There is no fee for children 5 and under to participate but we do ask that you register them so we can have the appropriate number of supplies for the walk.
